THE BAKERY
Our bakery has a long tradition, and we bake all our products according to our own recipes. There are many temptations here in the form of, for example, glass balls, halibut balls, raisin balls, penny balls, viennese bread, pretzels, bread and our bestsellers: crispbread and oat biscuits.



HISTORY
Bakar-Jon has been an institution in Byrkjelo for many years, and is a popular stop for both residents and visitors. The name comes from the 2nd generation of bakers at Bakar-Jon, and is named after Jon Myklebust, who was the owner for many years, until COOP bought the family business. The bakery is still run today in the same way that Jon and his father, Torbjørn Myklebust, have done since the beginning.
The store was previously a grocery store, but when Coop took over the operation, the grocery store was closed and the focus was on local food.
THE STORE
Our store is among the best in the local food category, and the selection of local food producers is very large. We have delicatessens in fish, meat, goat, lefser, flatbread, local drinks, etc. Something for every taste!


THE CAFE
Our café is well known for its traditional Norwegian "Dinner of the Day", in addition to our a la carte menu and homemade cakes from our excellent bakery.
We often use local food producers on our menus, which is why we are happy to expand our menus to also include well-known classics such as Caesar salad, Club sandwich and BLT sandwiches.
We also have our own vegetarian and vegan menu.
