HISTORY AND CULTURE
Gloppen is a municipality rich in history and has a strong cultural heritage. The municipality has previously been named the cultural municipality of the year, and Glopparane has not stopped working since then. Eleven festivals are organized in the village every year, and more are constantly being developed. Local food, country, classical music and electric water sports are just some of the categories you can experience during the festival weeks.
In the village, we have set high standards for development, quality and value creation. This is clearly reflected in the events that take place here and the actors behind them.
Norsk Countrytreff and Gloppen Musikkfest are two of the music festivals that have long traditions in Gloppen. The two festivals will offer different music and atmosphere, but in common they have the ability to give you a musical experience that you will remember for a long time.

UNFORGETTABLE LOCAL FLAVORS
Award-winning sparkling wine, sun-ripened berries, rich goat cheese, and dewy fresh fruit are just some of the delicacies you can savor in Gloppen. Producers do their utmost to ensure you a culinary experience, and with generations of knowledge behind each product, the traditions are strong and flavorful.
Are you tempted by a five-course tasting menu, game dinner or a hot cup of organic and locally produced herbal tea? Serving locations Gloppen Hotell , Sølvane Gard and Lauget Kaffibar is among some of the players that use local ingredients in their menus .
In addition to enjoying the flavors in their proper surroundings , it's nice to be able to share a bit of the experience with friends and loved ones. At Bakar Jon , Gloppen's large local food retailer, you can buy local food and drinks. Maybe you want to share the tasty memories from Gloppen with someone you love?

KIDS' GLOPPEN
If there's one place where children will thrive, we can confidently say it's Gloppen. Here, adventures and activities await for all ages. For example, start your stay with a trip to the children's favorite forest; Trivselsskogen. Exciting figures and heart-shaped stones motivate children to continue along the path. The sense of accomplishment is immense when they reach the top of Draumekvila, where the day-trip cabin, with its mini-library and fantastic view, is the perfect spot for a lunch break. During the winter, children can light up the reflective figures on the 'lyslotto' trail, and perhaps combine it with an outdoor night at TIN-Campen. Here, you'll find sleeping areas, a campfire spot, and a pizza oven.
Experiencing nature from horseback is another activity that gives a sense of accomplishment and memories for life. At Stall Rygg they offer horseback riding tours for all levels. They have had guests as young as two years old, and are ready to give you and your little ones an experience they will never forget.
After a horseback ride, a warm bath can be very welcome. What could be better than a dip in the swimming pool at Trivselshagen bad&idrett?
When the kids have had a blast playing in the pool, it's good to have a little energy boost. At Lauget coffee bar You can enjoy a good cup of coffee while the children order whatever they want from the ice cream bar. In addition to sweets, you will find a good selection of lunch dishes, wraps and pastries at the café in the middle of the municipal center of Gloppen: Sandane.
We also think the children will enjoy a mountain trip to Haugsvarden , the activities at Sandanedagane and the family concerts during the Gloppen music festival and Norsk Countrytreff .

Spring in Gloppen
