There is a food festival in the village, Matamål, and what could be better than combining these two celebrations of food joy?
We want to recreate the magic of this famous novella by Karen Blixen. The atmosphere, the joy of food and the warmth are fantastic!

The main character in the novella "Babette's Banquet", by Madame Babette Hersant, was originally a brilliant chef at the famous restaurant Cafe Anglais in Paris, before she fled to Berlevåg in 1871 due to the civil war. After 14 years of klippfisk and ølebrød with the two pious and strictly religious sisters, Babette uses the entire prize of 10,000 francs on a fantastic meal to mark the late priest's 100th birthday.
