About the event
On Sunday, September 22nd at 4 pm, we invite you to the Nordfjord Folk Museum with food traditions as the theme.
There will be a lecture by Kari Støfringsdal, refreshments, a tour of the Dyrebar exhibition and the opportunity for a good hunt! Kari Støfringsdal is a retired farmer and qualified home care teacher from Stabekk with extensive experience as a course and lecture host about food and traditions. Kari is one of the authors of Fjordamat – the cookbook for Sogn og Fjordane , Alle tiders Fjordamat – for holidays and anniversaries and Ta kaka. She also runs the Fjordamattunet in Jølster, which is a course venue and event venue.
This afternoon she will be coming to Nordfjord Folkemuseum to talk about food traditions. During the talk, she will bake svelekake (a traditional Norwegian cake) which will be served with traditional accessories from Jølster and Nordfjord.
After the lecture, Nordfjord Folkemuseum will offer a tour of the exhibition Dyrebar . The exhibition shows a selection of the ways people in the past used the whole animal. Both before and after the animal was killed, we see an attitude…
