When we laid out ideas and visions for the years to come a few years ago, this year's festival had the working title "earth" - with what grows, what gives us life, what disappears, what holds everything together, what we destroy and what we are.

Along the way, it became clear to us that we were becoming more and more grounded the more we thought and programmed. We wanted to return to the core, to chamber music, to the interaction, to the meeting between audience and performers - what makes us grow. We wanted to lower the threshold and open the gate, let the audience close in on us. That is why we have been free in the programming, and have put several of the main concerts in much smaller venues than before, Sandane Church and the Vonheim village hall. In addition, there will be a magnificent tour of the cultural hall, as usual, with Håvard Gimse at the piano.
