The guild: A man named Parkinson

Welcome to a new play by Rolf Losnegård, the playwright from Dalsfjorden who has been so important to us here at the theater.

Rolf has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. In this play, he takes the audience into his struggle to find meaning in his new life with a neurological condition that gradually reduces his ability to move normally.

He shares a humorous, raw and honest story about losing his health. District musician Jacob Wyrtz joins in on guitar, and his daughter Idun Losnegård – a long-time actress here at the theatre – directs.

Rolf has contributed to almost thirty productions at Teater Vestland, formerly Sogn og Fjordane Teater. He was the writer of Dei sestre maksveringar, the very first play to be staged after its establishment in 1977, and he is behind the annual Kinnaspelet. He served as house dramaturg during the ten years he was employed here.
