You can expect a varied program of Norwegian and Japanese music.
It's the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Norway this year, so this is fitting!
We will hear Sparre Olsen, Geirr Tveit, Edvard Grieg, Man Arai, Kozaburo Hirai and folk melodies from Norway and Japan.
Marin Stallemo Bakke on Hardanger fiddle and violin, Bjørn Gisle Seter on baritone and Akiko Anazawa on grand piano.
Sogn og Fjordane has three district music groups with a total of 20 musicians, and they represent a great musical diversity and are important for the region - and for us! The groups are each affiliated with their own cultural school - in Gloppen, Sunnfjord and Sogn. This year we also have the DM group in Voss! The groups will hold lunch concerts and family performances, as well as participate in the main concert on Friday.
