Tonight's Guest Artists: Astrid Nordstad and Margrethe Fredheim
Astrid Nordstad is a soloist at the National Opera in Oslo. Nordstad comes from Trondheim and completed her bachelor's degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Oslo Opera Academy in 2014. Further studies led her to the renowned pedagogue Susanna Eken at the Royal Opera Academy in Copenhagen. In the fall of 2017, Nordstad made her debut at the Royal Opera in Copenhagen, as Flora in Verdi's La traviata and has since performed major roles both at home and abroad. Astrid has guested Sølvane Gard every year since its inception in 2018.
Margrethe Fredheim is a Norwegian opera singer from Sandefjord. She is employed at the Staatstheater Kassel in Germany. Fredheim has won several international awards, including first prize in the Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition in 2020…
