Starting group // Gloppen Music Festival

Startgropa is a chamber music seminar for classical musicians in the establishment phase, organized by Gloppen Musikkfest. 

Participants receive instruction and feedback from some of Norway's best chamber musicians, and the opportunity to play together with them. The seminar takes place in Breim in Gloppen, and consists of a couple of days of rehearsal, before playing concerts/going on tour in Vestland county with Bergen as the last stop. The two artistic directors Audun Sandvik and Ida Klokk-Bryhn are mentors and collaborators.

The Startgropa is primarily an offer for those of you who love chamber music. In addition, you must have completed at least a bachelor's degree in performing classical music, and be at the beginning of your performing career as a musician. All instruments can apply, including singing, but the upper age limit is 30 years. Applicants from Vestland may be given priority. 

In 2024, the course will take place from Monday, March 11th to Friday, March 15th.

The application deadline was January 15, 2024.
