Vinyl with something extra - On the Club

Nynorsk is a lyrical language, a singing language, and as two Nynorsk users in Nynorskland, it is appropriate to devote a little extra time to our preferred target form.

Music with Nynorsk lyrics has been released for a number of years, and you have bands and artists who have been consistent in their target form, and you have those who have released a song or an album in Nynorsk because they have set a Nynorsk poet to music or covered a song from someone else. Or have actually written a song in Nynorsk, despite Bokmål use in everyday life.

Only time will tell what they will hear this evening, but there will probably be a wide range in both release year and genre this evening as well.

Vegard will also admit that he was a little inspired by the book "Slagersong og Svartmetall" by Arild Torvund Olsen, which was published this fall. It covers many goodies from the Nynorsk…
