Kandal ysteri og gardsmat is beautifully situated in the hills between Skjortefjellet and Breimsvatnet on the farm Neretunet in Kandal. Kandal ysteri og gardsmat started when Erlend was living in Oslo and wanted to return to Kandal. With an interest in food and with Grandma as inspiration, the idea of ​​real brown cheese, made from milk from his own goats, in the traditional way was created. Together with his mother, Solveig, the idea was realized.
 

The farm is not only home to cheese, but also to animals – goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and a horse. In addition, Solveig has her own studio above the goat barn. Farm life and art in an exciting union.
